As a blade repair technician, you will be exposed to many hazards that require you, by law to use the correct PPE.

Masks and Filters.

To protect against harmful dust and vapours. An A2/P3 rated filter that conforms to EN 143 and EN 14387

Eye protection

Appropriate eyewear to protect from dust, fibreglass particles and chemicals.

Ear protection

When using grinders and power tools

Coveralls and dust suits.

To prevent contact with harmful dusts and chemicals.

Gloves.

Nitrile gloves, Impact gloves.

Working at height PPE

Harness, Fall arrest lanyards, Rope access equipment.

When using PPE make sure that it is;

Adequate – It is right for the hazard and reduces exposure to the level required to protect the wearer’s health.

Suitable – It is right for the wearer, task and environment, such that the wearer can work freely and without additional risks due to the PPE.
